Qualified and compassionate podiatrist

Lethabo Akintan is a qualified and compassionate podiatrist with nearly two decades of experience in both public and private healthcare. She has a Bachelor’s Degree of Technology in Podiatry (B.Tech), earned in 2007, and has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for her patients ever since.

Her career began in Pretoria, where she served as a junior podiatrist in the Gauteng Department of Health, treating patients in clinics and community healthcare centres. From 2010 to 2014, she continued her work in the public sector in Johannesburg, taking on a senior role and leading a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals made up of  Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech therapists, Audiologists and Optometrists within a community-based rehabilitation programme.

In 2014, Lethabo relocated to Cape Town and transitioned into private practice. She is currently based in Simon’s Town on the eastern Cape Peninsula, where she provides professional care to patients of all ages. She has a special interest in podiatric dermatology, arthritis-related foot problems, and general foot care of the elderly.

Recognising that many of her patients face mobility or health challenges, Lethabo also offers home visits, bringing professional foot care directly to those who need it most.

Her mission is to restore comfort, mobility, and quality of life through skilled, compassionate foot care.
